Hi

Just got a VW EOS manual Komfort Island Grey.
I have a few questions regarding some small things that have been concerning me.
--When I start the car by pressing on the clutch am I supposed to feel a little vbraion on my foot when the car starts? Is that something to worry abt?
--When I stop the car after a ride and turn off the ignition and now if I turn the key half way again just enough for the senseor to light up I could fell and hear the cooling fan in the front of the car go on. Is that normal even when I see the temprature needle is in the middle?
--I have faced this problm once or twice. When I turm the key somethimes it dosent start the car it just dosent do anything If I let it sit there for a few seconds and then try again it starts the car. It feels like that the battery is cutoff or someting for a few secs or not enouh power it is like it is dead. Is this something to worry abt or is it supposed to be like that?

I know some of the might sound like that they r stupid but still I thought it better to ask abt it and clear things up

Thanks for the Help

For the second question
It's normal to hear the cooling fan after you stop your car, especially if it's hot outside.Your tempertature needle must be in the middle. If it goes further, there is a problem with the cooling. So,there is no need to worry about that.

For the third question
It might be something with the alarm system and the imobilizer security.I've never come upon this, yet.

That's from me,hope it will be helpful:rolleyes:

yes it certainly helps atleast it eliminates one of my problem from the list.
As for the Third question that I asked it seems like the same to me. I noticed there was some sticky stuff in the cuts of the key though it should not have affected but still I have cleaned it with a cloth and have not got the problem after that, hope it stays this way.

Thanks again

It the clutch cable actuated or hydraulically operated? I could see having some vibration through a cable mechanism.

I went ahead and talked to the tech at VW as I was making the trip anyways to get my aluminum pedals installed ;) .
They told me that the vibrations and the sound for this engine are normal as it gets warmer they reduce and I have noticed that now. They also told me that the Turbo might generate a little more heat than the normal engine. I have made it a habit of letting the car stay idle for a minute or so after a dive and then turn the ignition off. It has actually helped. One more thing, try to leave the car running for a minute or so when u start it in the morning helps in proper lubrication.

FYI...
I was also asking them abt the break in period and they told me to drive it the way I want it to drive. They said if you really baby a car it will drive like that for the rest and if u push it a little it it'll get used to that too. Earlier I was changing my gears at 2500 - 3000 RPM now I am doing it at 3500 - 4000.

A volkswagen representative (not a dealer) told me the same thing. He said "just get stuck into it now and then". Since then every now and then I give it a good squirt on the exhilarator (oops I mean accelerator).
