Here is my new 2010 VW 1.4 FSI (122).

I'll post some more pictures when i shrink them. The pics were shot between Oldham and Huddersfield over near the Saddleworth moors. Sorry for the poor quality, but I just got the car and wanted to fire some pics off.

So far so good, but the dealer forgot to give me the owners manual :p so im a bit stuck on changing the clock time and what the green light is just below the rear view mirror.

Is that really a 2010? No significant body changes that I can see from the pics. What does the instrument cluster look like?
The clocks you can change it's simple you don't need the manual for that you will have 2 buttons where the dials are with HR on and Min on you set the time that way. Also the green light below the rear view mirror means that the auto dimming is turned on so people no longer blind you from behind when your driving it also dims the drivers door mirror.

Welcome to Eosworld!:D
Instrument cluster is white, thanks for the info, bit shocked that i have to wait a week for the owners manual. love the car so far... sad to say goodbye to my T reg polo had it for 8 years and a lot of memories.

Does any body have any links they can post on the Midline computer? Whilst I wait for the manual, I would like to get some more use out of it, but I am a little unsure of the displays.

I have the above cluster, but I am still a little confused over the display. I simply have the trip computer. Is the above display only available with the highline? Can I get access to the above display via the MFSW?

I am interested and maybe the answer is obvious and this is by no means a 'go' at anyone but why do people block out there number plate when posting pics ?
I guess people have their reasons, but for me there's just 2.

1) These days with the ANPR systems, a stolen car is a flashing beacon to police. Thieves have got wise to this and now tend to switch the number plate for an identical car that is still being driven by an innocent owner in some other part of the country. Referred to as 'Cloning' I believe. The first you'll find out about it is when you get parking and speeding tickets dropping through your door. I doubt the DVLA will believe you immediately either - so a lot of grief to sort it out.

The obvious place for a thief to get a number plate to copy is through t'internet.

2) Anything that links somebodys internet identity to their real lives is a bad thing - especially with identity theft. A number plate on it's own is no good, but it's amazing how much other information you can find out about somebody - especially those that post on public forums!

excellent point, somebody stole the plates from my old t reg polo... nobody is going to do that unless the need an polo plate and they must have been looking around as for one my car was parked hidden away and two the got on their hands and knees and screwed the plates off, must have taken them a while

I didnt get any tickets, but the police had the reg marked on a database and i couldnt go past a police check without them pulling me over
Nice car kpdv2. The same 1.4 base engine that I'm looking at getting.
Did you get any extras or is it the standard S trim?

One point, you've got the wind deflector up. It's my understanding that the deflector is for when you've got the sunroof open and the roof up, so to deflect the wind causing head bounce. When you've got the roof open I don't think it makes any difference.

thanks for the heads (bounce) up! I have found it makes on little use when the full roof is down, i have the se spec. the folding kirros and auto lights and rain sensor and the like are ok, but just another thing to break really. the main thing about the se is the bigger wheels and parking sensor, these are essentail really as rear vis is hampered by the type of car and 17 inch wheels are really what is needed on this car. the 17 wheels and parking sensors alone cost a grand or near enough, so you may as well get the se spec really. i couldnt find an s spec to test drive, i could only find one 1.4 and that was an se, so i bought that one after an excellent test drive
I agree that most things in the Lux pack (what you get with the SE over the S) are unnecessary, although the folding mirrors I think are great. I always manually fold the road side mirror when I park my current car, the cost of someone knocking it off is too much not to.

The rear parking sensor - there's a lot of confusion about this. I believe the S trim does come with an audiable rear parking sensor, but your SE one (and the option on the S) is a visual sensor. The brochure and VW website is very misleading on this point because you're right, you absolutely do need a rear parking assist in the Eos, but the audiable one is standard.

I would have also taken the Winter Pack option. Heated seats would have let you keep the roof down even on cold cold days!
i would have loved to have got lots of things especially the mfsw, but i wanted to keep the cost sensible, the SE gives the car a bit of refinement and some posh things, but really, the metallic paint and SE spec are fine.

I also wanted to get my hands on the car ASAP and the dealer had a new one in stock. a factory fresh one would have mean a 6 month wait!
