Hi all,

Just got myself an '07 2.0 TDI Individual with 32k on the clock, she's running beautifully, only has two little niggles (some corrossion on one front left wing-mirror and leaks a little bit from the rear right window), otherwise all fine. I'm taking her in to the dealership tomorrow to see whether the issues will be covered by warranty (I expect so, but you never know.)

Was expecting to find an AUX-IN plug in the glove box, but alas none there. Didn't bother to check bf I got her, but from what I hear it can be installed fairly inexpensively. Dealer quoted £9 over the phone, but I wonder whether that was just for the cable, w/o install. I'm not sure where an AUX-IN jack would be installed and how it would happen?

All else is fine. Really, really pleased.

Hi Ian

The aux in is sort of tucked up under on the right side of the glove box - kind of hard to see and find. You might want to check again.

Had a look and all I could find was a vent and an air bag on/off switch.

I've just had both door mirrors replaced under warranty due to corrosion (or in fact one changed and one still on back-order).

Just had both of my mirrors replaced a week ago under warranty. Just hope the new ones don't go the same way.

So far so good

So, the dealer is being real helpful and replacing not only the wing-mirror that showed corrosion damage but also the other wing-mirror which, if you looked real close, also had a bit of corrosion too. Should've taken pics to show what the damage looked like.

They've accepted that the roof is leaking, but don't really know which way to fix it. They're familiar with the lubrication treatment, but think the seals look fine so it might be something else (hopefully under warranty?). They're talking to VW about it.

They're also putting in an aux-in, which includes some tampering with the RCD300 radio via their VAS computer to initialise the 12-pin audio in port on the back of the radio, and having to open up some space in the glove box to feed the cable through.

Soon enough, a fully operational EOS.

Hope yours are OK, Doolally, or if not, they should be under warranty.
