Rex, just out of interest how much does it cost across the pond to buy a plate that for your car,I have a personal plate which reads C9 RBH. The C9 part means nothing but the RBH are my initials.

Cost of Personal Plate

Barchetta, $20 extra for personal plates per year. Normal plates would have cost $38.75, I paid $57.75 which included $1 off for ordering on the internet. Virginia DMV will charge you a extra $5 if you renew in person. That's one way to push the use of the internet. Now this charge does not include the personal property tax that I have to pay to the county on the EOS. Mike

Scan the personal plates available in Virginia. Click on plate purchase then browse. www.dmvnow.com

Blimey Rex.

At todays exchange rate for the pound and dollar, my plates cost me $1200 dollars plus another $160 dollars for the transfer fee.

Good old rip off UK again.

Plates

Hi
Interestingly I regularly see an Eos with the plate A1 EOS near where I live here in the UK.
My own plate is GO08OLT ( my surname is GODBOLT ). Tried to send a pic but sadly can't work out how to do it........ Had to wait 8 years for it to be released and it cost the equivalent of about 1700 dollars.

Shame we don't have it as easy as our American cousins!:)

Rich, all of a sudden I feel so much better as you paid more than me for the plate.

Seriously though, I really wanted the plates ROB1N or ROB 68 or ROB81E all over 5K, i was gutted. If I bought a new basic golf I may have got the plate of my dreams but I could not do it.

Oh well, when I retire I may get it.

Regards

Hi Barchetta ( Robin )

I reckon I got a bargain with the plate cos surprisingly there are more Godbolts in the Uk than you would think ( there is even another Richard Godbolt in London ) and there are thousands in the States.

ROB1N would be fantastic but would likely cost 10's of thousands..........

Can I ask if anyone has had handsfree fitted in their Eos, if so what make, and can you get carpet protectors ( plastic see thru overlays ) specific for the car ?? I am so reluctant to put dirty feet on mt beige mats!
