Hi All,
I LOVE my EOS and so excited to find this board. I saw the EOS at the car show in Denver in 2007 & ordered it the first chance I got in Aug 2007. 2.0 T, 6 speed, Paprika red, cornsilk, sports package, nav system, ipod connection... Totally worth the six month wait and my baby is a year old this month. Its the best car I ever owned and so much fun!

I parked outside on one of the first cold days this year and my tire pressure light went on. I've had it looked at several times and the answer is always the same "its because of the change in temperature and add some air to the tires" But the light never goes off or the mechanic turns it off and its on again the next day.

Anyone else run into this problem? Last winter I was parked outside for seven weekends straight of snow and never had the issue...

Check the tire pressures before you drive the car in the morning using a good digital pressuer gauge. If you have 17" tires the figure is 34 psi min and 37 psi min for 18". If you check the owners manual it should tell you about the TPMS and what procedure needs to be reset. I think you may have your dates wrong. It had to have been 2006. Sounds like you got yours about a month after we did. Also if you get some time photos ARE required.....

We took delivery on Nov. 30, 2006 and the temp. was a cool 5 degrees F, and the low tire pressure light was on. The dealer said it was the cold weather and it has happened a few times since, I just hit the "OK" button on the MF steering wheel and go on...after I check the tires, just to be sure. I have the 18" wheels.

When you start the car, does the tire sensor light come on and stay on or does it flash for a minute?

I ask because I work in and industry that supplies these sensors. They are notoriously faulty (the sensors). It could be the sensor needs to be replaced.

When the weather got cold here in Kansas I got the tire pressure light, sure enough my spare tire was about 10 PSI lower than VW recommended pressure - a little air in the spare and problem solved. The tire sensors are a great feature! :)

Hi Everyone - this is my first post on this EOS site.
I have a cure for the trie pressure problem! I had the same problem and mentioned to my dealer and he suggested using Nitrogen, which will keep your trie pressure equal and will not change with the temp change. My VW dealer offered this for $39.99, and they will never charge me for this again.
The check and top when ever I have my service done. If for some reason the tire pressure does change you can still top off with air. Hope this helps!!!

If you purchasse new tires from Costco, they only use nitrogen.
Balance, pressure check, and rotation are free. P.S. I am not in anyway affiliated with them. This is just an FYI.

We got ours this November. After about two weeks, my wife was over 200 miles away visiting her mother and called me about the tire pressure light. It had turned much colder. I guessed it was weather related. Asked her to check the pressure and make the correction.
3 months later, not another problem.
