First, thanks for providing a huge amount of info and support.
My wife owns a 2007 2.0T 6 sp with 87K miles. It looks bad, clear coat on the black paint is shot on trunk and roof, roof liners and sunshade are trash but car runs great. Thought about getting rid of it but came across some pictures of tuned Eos and LOVED them. Next week its going to be painted in matte black paint, after that comes wheels and tires and lowering it a bit. Here is where I need some input, any suggestions on lowering kits (not too stiff), should I lower it before I get the new wheels and tires? Also any suggestions on exhaust? Thanks, Ozzie

Welcome Ozzie- can't help you with your queries, I like mine stock. I hope you don't have too many speed humps there in Miami, the Eos creaks and groans when it goes over them here, I hate to think how a lowered one would fare.
Cheers, Tony

Hello and welcome to the club! Yes I would first lower or rather at the same time to see both results and to make sure the wheels/tires still fit fine in their arches.
I don’t know what kind of lowering kits are available in the US and Indid not fiddle with those, so I cannot recomend any. I do know that over here, esp in Germany there is a lot available, like H&R. The same goes for exhausts. I would search in your area for a vw specialist and consult them.

Thanks Tony. Had it painted and ordered new 18 x 8 wheels, originals were 16 x 7. Decided not to play with suspension but do want to change the exhaust. I will keep you updated on the progress. I do need to work on the interior. Sunshade is bad as well as some of the panels which cover the roof mechanisms.
Regards,

Ozzie

I'm running my 2010 on 8x18's and a 35mm drop with no issues. just use a good quality spring kit like H&R, Eibach etc.
