Having a random issue with a 2007 EOS HVAC. Occasionally when you first start driving, there is no air flow from the HVAC system, sometimes in heating mode, sometimes in A/C mode

After a few miles and pressing every climate control button, it eventually starts to work. Have carried back to dealer a number of times over the years but if it’s working at the time, they have been unable to address the problem.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what needs to be done to correct the issue?

They use motorised flaps and if the problem isn't something mechanical sticking (?) it will be electrical - either the motor flap itself or wiring to switches. I think diagnostics can report HVAC flap motor (angle) status and set fault codes if something is wrong. I suggest you talk to the Stealer to see if it is a problem that would log a fault code which will be stored in your car?

In the old days before climate control we had flaps that opened and closed with a simple knob and twisty bowden cable. Things are more complicated and prone to annoying failures now. :(

Hi.
If you Google Hvac reset you'll find a procedure that might help, no promises, but worth a try.
