After having waited 50 weeks for my Eos to arrive and driving my family mad in the process - it was a big thing for me as I had driven my 79 Golf Mk I diesel for 28 years - now my wife wants one! She has a Golf V.

We have had the Eos for 10 weeks and done 6000Km. Just did a small trip in the country 900km - mostly with the roof down 912km on 54.9 liters. Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful warm winter days but the wind break is a must especially at 110km/h.

The problem is we have 2 dogs - an old Golden Retriever and a very large St Bernard - who weighs 75Kgs. They fit in the back of the Golf but I think the Eos will not be suitable. I do not think dog paws and leather go down very well together! Has anyone any ideas on how to dog slobber proof an EOS? I made up a boot liner for the Golf out of cloth that works well.

Also I have seen on some Eos photos a small circular object on the side of the headrest. Mine does not have it. What is it for?

Well i'm glad that it was worth it. You should just go ahead and do the decent thing and get your wife one too.
