UK ex-pat, lived in the Nord for the past 25 years or so, just ordered a new 2009 common-rail TDI in Carat trim. Delivery late July, apparently :)

so I was number 3 (still am...)... Am an "in-pat" (French living in south eastern France) ;-)

Looks like we can almost arrange for a English-speaking EOS meet in France one of these days...
