Hi all,

Well, I have had my lovely car four days now, and the smile I have makes my cheeks hurt. It seems today that at last the sun has come out, so I shall be out posing in no time at all.

I'm off to Strasbourg in it on Tuesday - I'm leaving beloved for a few days and taking my mum on a Rhine cruise - we're taking two days to get there, via the tunnel. Why go on planes, when you can cruise through France in an Eos?! The weather forecast is getting better, so it should be magic. :D

Any advice anyone has would be very much appreciated.

Hi
Enjoy the drive over here... And enjoy the fact that EOS is far less common in France than it is already in the UK ;-)
You'll be looked at, and not only because of those red hair, red cheeks, strange accent, left-side driving, Chelsea t-shirt, fish&chips eating, bowing before a Queen, etc... HAHAHHAHAH

Seriously, just enjoy! And if you taste wines from Rhine, don't drive!

Enjoy!!!!!

Hello everyone!

I've just got back from the most wonderful trip. It was a 1200 mile round trip, and you guys were absolutely right - it was so much fun. It sounds as thought the weather over there was considerably better than you had here - we drove back in 24 degree sunshine......until near to the Tunnel where the heavens opened.

I didn't see a single other Eos once over the Channel, and everywhere we stopped, or even on the Peages, I got admiring looks and even a few hoots!!! I must admit to a bit of posing.... and I managed to park the car right near the boat so all could see it as they boarded!!!!!

The biggest surprise really was how much we managed to get into the boot - 2 people's luggage for a week, plus wine on the return journey.

Oh yes......don't they go fast?!!!!

Don't they just Jaydee!!!!! :)
Well Skidoo and Jaydee,
I have lent my EOS to my daughter in law for an extended period. She wondered why the snow tire alarm activated. I had it set to go off at 140 kph (87 mph). She could not belive she was driving so quickly .... told her SHE was responsible for any speeding infractions!

Fred, We drove home on the motorway last weekend and at one point I was asked 'what speed do you think we just did?' I said about 80 so you had better slow down. I cannot tell you what we were actually doing on here, but thank God it was a totally clear road and no traffic police around either! He has promised never to drive that fast again. Scary how the speed creeps up in the EOS without you realising it!

Ha ha SHF, I heard my own speed warning quite a few times - luckily the French police seem more relaxed on their big old open roads!!

Rob, I managed 45.3mpg overall - 1264 miles - but I was pushing it at times. Today I did a bout 115 miles up and down the A34, and more respectably and got 47.4. What do you get from yours?

BTW, no leaks so far.....fingers crossed.
