Thought it was about time to post a picture of our Eos. Yesterday marked one year of ownership. We couldn't be happier. 12 months and no real problems.

Happy Birthday Andy

Many happy returns ........... sounds like you are still very pleased with your purchase. Same here .. .I now have 13 months and 25,000 kms with no problems to speak of! Still glad I picked the Eismeer Blue .... distinctive, but not showy!

Just curious. You have had your Eos for 13 months. Was it a special order or a new arrival at the dealer or off the lot? My dealer couldn't place the order until July 1st of 06. The dealers weren't supposed to be selling them, at least in the U.S., until September 9th although some had already sold them and the car was on the streets at the end of August.

Hi Andy,
My dealer is a very good friend ... he phoned me when his first EOS (and only for first several months) came on the lot. I went over the same day and offered to take it home immediately. He wanted to keep it as a demo, but I convinced him it was useless to have a demo if he had no back up cars coming. He agreed so I took it home two days later after servicing ... think that was September 12th!. I don't think there were many cars on the street in Canada before mine .. first cars to dealer I believe were September 9 as well in Canada and most dealers just got 1 on that date!

aug 31st 06

took mine home the aug 31st of 06, but test drove one the 7th of aug, i tried to buy it, a real beauty, but they didn't even have the VIN number yet. i got the first drive since i had bugged them for nearly 3 months and my son worked there. but alas, my salesman was off for two days, the VIN number arrived and another EOS buyer beat me to the car. i then had to wait 3 weeks for the next car. but i'v had a great almost 14 months and 11,500 miles. only a few minor things that needed attending. it's been the best ride ever..... not one regret

I am a little jealous that you were able to almost buy your car that soon. But I am bothered by a couple items. You mentioned something about waiting for a VIN . The car has a VIN on it before it leaves the factory. It is physically attached. It can be used by the dealer to track the car. I would have thought that if the dealer knew you wanted the car, they could have taken a deposit to hold it. Also the dealers weren't supposed to be selling them before September 9th. I had to order mine in July because That was the only way to get want what I wanted and when the dealers could put in customer orders. The dealers had a lot of Lux packaged models once they started hitting the lots and that was what a lot of the testers were. None the less, glad it all worked out for you. I had mine in the shop today to have a rear wheel bearing replaced. I still have a compass that reads wrong just after you put the top down. But after 12,600 miles that's all I can complain about.

It's been a while since I posted any pix of our Eos. Hope you enjoy this one we took in Michigan over the weekend.

My question is "How do you attach "thumbnails"?

Eos_up.... to attach a thumbnail just click on "manage attachments" after you click on the "reply" button to any message (you will see it below the box where you type your message). You can then choose a file from your hard drive and it will show up as a thumbnail in your message.
