Me too

It's one of my preferred colours on the tiny samples they show you, but I want to see one full scale to get a better idea. I'm sure it's nice, but is it a bit risky ordering a whole car in a colour you see on an A4 swatch?

I saw one just under a week ago. It is lovely! I did look twice as I didn't realise they done it in that colour. In fact I was rubber necking so much I nearly crashed MY Eos into the car in front! lol :D

silver it is not :D
The one I saw was definitely silver and not the champagney colour of the wheat beige one. It was a 57 plate too, I heard that the wheat beige was stopped after 2 years due to people not wanting to own a beige car...?

Opal Silver Vs Wheat Beige

Well I finally feel confident enough to report on something to do with the Eos.:)
Today I test drove a Wheat Beige Eos. That colour is no longer in production (in Australia). It was a MY2008 TDI.
I took the sample Opal Silver A4 swatch outside to the Wheat Beige car, and they were so similar. Depending on the direction you look at it it does change colour slightly,(not silver exactly, but a silvery type of shine:) but it is near on close enough to Wheat Beige for my liking.
The colour on the South African website listed earlier on this thread is not really a good representation.

Ah Ahhh now I think I understand, they had a job lot of beige, stopped it because it was not selling so brought it back under a different name, good trick if you can get away with it and there are enough to be "fooled". EOS owners I think are far from fools, look what great cars they bought

Isn't Opale a colour in itself, i.e. from the Opale stone, which has actualy a beige-pearl apperance and then revals different colours depending on which angle or light you look at it from/under? Renault (on Laguna Mk I) and customizers for expensive cars or motorboats have long had these types of paitings that change colour depending on viewing side... It could be that VW has made this sort of painting available as part of the Individual program....

Opal Silver

I've seen the Opal Silver w/ black interior and the Opal is gorgeous. It's so rich looking. I"m buying an Eos in the next few weeks. I wanted the Salsa Red but now I'm leaning towards the Opal Silver. I just can't find either w/ the black interior so I may have to get beige.

If you're in the USA, try Brown's VW in Midlothian, Virginia. www.brownsvw.com

I saw two Opal Silver cars on the lot, but can't remember what color interior they had. I think they are both Komfort models.
