Hi all

I have been doing my research on the Eos for some time now and today decided to finally place the order. The order was for the Eos Individual, 2.0T Wheat Beige with the two tone interior (beige). The options I went for are the DSG gearbox, alarm system, mud flaps and the RNS 510 Sat Nav. According to the dealer the car will arrive in June and so in the mean time I start the long wait that so many appear to have experienced. I decided to go for the wheat beige as I thought it would be easier to keep clean than the darker colours and I also have a Golf 2.0 Comfortline in silver with the leather, sunroof, tint and reversing sensors and thus did not want to have two silver cars.

I would appreciate hearing peoples experiences with the RNS510 as I havenot yet seen one and apparently it is significantly better than the current unit ( could have just been sales talk)

I will keep you updated as I hear more from the dealer.

Cheers

Welcome to the club. Your wait for your Eos is par for the course and all part of the ownership experience. Sorry can't help with the sat nav as I dont have a VW one (or any). However form other posts the original one was a bit outdated regarding features and information so any improvement should be good.

Cheers

Well Done david, I picked up my Eos in November 2007 after order was placed in May 2007. I have a 2.0TSFI, Shadow Blue, 6 Speed Manual, Chicargo Wheels, Beige Leather, Alarm System. I am unsure about the navigation system as I have not got this option. I do recommend the door sill protectors, rear chrome strip on the boot lid and the plastic foil over the top of the rear bumper to prevent scratches when loading. All the above are fitted by the dealer not at the factory.

In the UK this is listed as "Rear bumper protection film" and is a dealer fit VW option.

No, it's a piece of clear film that sits on the horizontal bit of the rear bumper just where your kids plonk their school kit before heaving it over into the boot! Would say it's well worth the money if you've got kids.
