My 2007 EOS has the Nav radio, 6 disc changer in the console and the steering wheel buttons for the bluetooth. We have a dealer-installed Parrot CK3000 along with proper cables and such shown here. http://www.quickconnectproducts.com/Find/VWsteer2.htm

The problem is, the 6 disc changer has never worked since we bought the car so I looked into it tonight. What I found is, if I remove the bluetooth, the CD changer works fine. With the bluetooth installed, the changer will light up and insert the CD but the radio doesn't recognize it. Any ideas or suggestions?

Take it you have the remote 6 CD changer.

When the handsfree kit was installed there are 2 12 pin plugs on the Quadlock connector (both might be present, but likely only 1 fitted). One of these is the connection to the remote CD unit (normally blue cover). It needs to be unclipped from the original VW plug and transferred over to the plug that now goes into the rear of the SatNav unit.

Yes remote. That blue plug was moved to the new connector and plugged back into the back of the radio but it doesn't work. If I put it back in the original connector and plug it back into the back of the radio, it works fine. It appears to snap in place fully.

Most strange, as the CD changer harness is only plugged through the Quadlock connector - there are no other connections.

Few possibilities:
Plug is not flush with bottom of Quadlock when inserted - visual check
Plug may be disengaging when stereo put back in - does the CD work with the stereo hanging out (and all wiring in place)
If the Parrot power & speaker connectors are removed and the ISO blocks connected to each other and looped through - does this work ?
Look at the quadlock harness and check all connections are looped end to end and that none are transposed.
May be an intermittent connection (broken wire) in the CD harness when pressure is placed on it when re-inserting stereo.

Finally,
Have also had one of theses oddities on a BMW with CD changer. In the end just replaced the quadlock harness and all was fine. When checked there were no obvious defects - very odd and the only time I can remember an issue in many years.

Thanks for the input JCK.

1. Plug is flush when inserted.
2. CD does not work when stereo is hanging out. Tried that. Even pushed on all wires and connectors when the harness was in place.
3. On the ISO blocks etc, I didn't do that but I will.
4. I looked at the harness and all wiring color codes appear to go to the correct place.
5. Could be a broken wire but if the factory blue connector works with the OEM harness, it should work with the aftermarket harness to I'd assume. I'll check into that more though.

I'll check that stuff either tonight or tomorrow and report back. Again, thanks for the input.

It's fixed! Thanks justcarkits for the help!

Turns out, when the dealer installed the QCP harness, they broke the locking lever on the connector that goes in the back of the radio. I saw that when I pulled the radio out of the dash but dismissed it. When I went back in there tonight to re-install the bluetooth setup, I remembered that broken piece. What I did was remove the locking lever from the other end of the QCP harness and installed it on the connector going into the radio. That connector DID NOT want to plug back into the radio with that locking lever in place, which is probably why the dealer broke it. Anyhow, a little bit of elbow grease, some pushing and shoving and I got it in there. Once I did that everything worked. A good dose of electrical tape around the other connector without the locking lever and I was good to go. :) Bluetooth work works again including steering wheel buttons, 6 disc changer, NAV and everything.

After doing this, I realized (by accident) that you can program how your doors lock with the key fob after you shut the door. It kind of surprised me that the car locked the doors and chirped the horn when I walked away and didn't push the botton on the fob. It didn't do that before. :)
