Hi All

Just wanted to ask what would be the best way to get out a large scratch which has gone into the bodywork probably 5-9cms on the driver door just below the curves of the EOS body

P.s. It looks like an passerby 'keyed' the car as they went by but only managed to get deep in the driver door and didnt get it scratched deep enough on the other panels

Thanks For Your Replies In Advance :)

This makes me so angry. I can't believe you can be so calm about it. I would be spewing.

Sometimes T-Cut (or similar cutting polish) can get rid of any light scratches so long as the scratch isn't too deep. Followed up by adding plenty of wax.

Personally, I'd take it to a body-shop and ask for advise. They'll tell you right away what your options are.

you could get a touch up kit from vw too the same colour as your car, about £9 i think you could "paint" it over the scratch i think

if someone had scratched my car their life wont be worth living trust me!

Im a fan of blood, blood of the numb nut that did this(if intentional). The old haemoglobin into said scratch followed by a good wax will do the job.

If that dont work, seek advice. The issue is if you try and do it yourself could land you with more damage than you started with. I would like to think any reputable body shop would give you an opinion, even though you may have to pay.

Either way, I wish you well.

Thats awful! Mindless morons they are. My Eos once got scuffed by some Tesco trolleys in my village and we took it to VW as Tesco said they would pay for the repair. They had a look and told me they would get the marks off no problem and did it there and then. I was lucky because it hadn't actually scratched the car.
I think your better off taking it to a garage though and getting it done professionally. Fingers crossed its ok for you!

Regards Trish
