Hi, Just thought I'd introduce myself,
I'm picking up an 06 EOS in a week, We are expecting our first baby in a few weeks, so I've had to bite the bullet and trade in my much loved new TT Roadster:( . The EOS seemed like a logical choice, as it has pretty much similar mechanics, and having test driven it it's pretty much the same to drive as far as the engine goes.
i have to say, I'm a little concerned about all the leaking issues, so I will be all over my dealer when I pick it up, to make sure the seals have been lubricated properly, as it's having a service as part of the deal.
Any tips or tricks gratefully received if any one has any for a newbie.

Cheers,
Paul.

Hi Paul

Enjoy the car and the addition to the family when he/she comes along too, sadly if it difficulty not fo feel concerned abut the leaks when you see so much being written about it. Best advsie, do not let it spoil your enjoyment, be aware, but do enjoy

I'm right there with you Paul. I really wanted the TT, but was getting rid of a 350Z because of the lack of rear seats. I looked at the A4 convertible but then found out about the Eos. Saved about $6K and got a hardtop convertible too. The krytox isn't too bad to apply personally. I find myself re-applying every six months so far and that works. If the seals start to look chalky, then you should dab some on. If you get a 2.0T, I definitely recommend the APR ECU flash. For $600 you get 52HP, 96ft/lbs of torque, plus 2MPG better fuel economy. Hard to believe but true.

If you had Quattro in you TT you may miss that. The Eos is a much more comfortable and rroomier car to be in. And there's that converting metal roof and sunroof and........

Thanks for all the replies guys, I've picked the car up, now, the dealer had really undersold this car, it has got pretty much every option on it apart from cruise control..! It is a bit damp inside at the moment, but it has been stood at the dealer for a while, and has been fully valeted. I haven't noticed any leaks in this weather, but the dealer did fully service the seals . I'm gonna whack a dehumidifier in it over this weekend to dry it out fully and see how we go from there. I got my self some Krytox from GBR just incase though..! If any one knows where we can get the remap Vbeos is talking about in the UK please let me know. I had a remap done on My Smart FourTwo Cabrio, and it transformed it (took it round the Nuremburg ring twice too..!)

I'd try going to www.goAPR.com and see if there is anyone near you to do the software tuning :)
