Hey all, im picking up my new VW EOS 2.0t in candy white on the 14th. Soo excited, I hope they fixed the roof leak problem.... One problem soo far with the dealer. I bought the car back in october for delivery on the 14th of march. I ordered the sport package, but for some reason they forgot to put in the heated seats... little dissapointed about that. They took $1000 off the car price to say sorry.

BTW, its one of the first orders in Canada :) cant wait to drop the top.

Congratulations from Collingwood

Hi Zballa,

Congratulations. I have had my EOS since early last September (probably one of the first on the road. I bought it first day they were shown and picked it up two days later) .. Eismeer Blue 2.0 Turbo with Sport Package, wind block and reverse package. I have also added a few after market "goodies", including rear spoiler, chrome door handles and mirrors, and sport pedals. No leak problems and very comfortable here in "snow country". You are gonna love it!

White

I like the thought of a white Eos - White is the new Black in terms of car colours, apparently!

Enjoy yours, can't wait for mine - just 4 weeks to go now!

I should have some photo's asap. I cant wait to try out the 6 spd manual transmission. Ive only test driven the automatic model, nice but I prefer a clutch.

Yea i do agree that white is the new black (lol) with the dark tint glass roof it really make the EOS pop. I also ordered the larger 18" rim package. looks wonderful.

Can't wait till the 14th.

Manual vs Auto

Good to hear you like the manual - despite a lot of commuting I still prefer a manual box though I was tempted by the positive reviews surrounding the DSG! However, I test drove the 6spd and as a keen driver was impressed by its slickness and direct action - I know this isn't a 'true' sports car [and that ISN'T a criticism!] but it felt pretty sporty to me - I think [and hope] you'll be very pleasantly surprised! As I hope to be in a months time!

Hey Fred, I am very interested in the after market goodies, especially the rear spoiler. Can you tell me where you got it? Do you have any photos?

Thanks,

Accessories

Hi Zballa,

Try Ebay. Go to "car parts and accessories" and do a word search with "eos". You will find quite a few there:

1. spoiler at $219 US plus shipping. (I had it shipped to my daughter in Boston to save shipping. Spoiler comes pre-painted to match and was a perfect match. Paint chip number is on your car door.
2. chrome side mirror covers and door handle covers from Hong Kong were both very easy to put on and brighten car up.
3. sport pedals $140 US come from NY state and again were easy to install

I also got simulated xenon light bulbs ... give a nice bright white light, but I don't see them listed anymore?

Hope you enjoy your new car. I'm attaching pictures of mirrors, but you can see the other stuff on EBay. Let me know if I can be of any more help.

Hi there,

I like the spoiler. Did you install it yourself? If so, does it require bolting onto the trunk, drilling holes?

Thanks.

Dealer Installed

Hi Hugh,

No, I decided to get the VW dealer to do it .. wanted to make sure it was done properly. The kit came with bolts to put through the trunk lid, but dealer's mechanic decided he did not want to do that and risk a leak; so he used very strong epoxy to to attach it. In total, he charged me one hour of labour for the installation. The spoiler is very light ... have had it on for a few months now with no problems at all. :) Hope this answers your questions ... let me know if you need anything else ... be glad to help.
