All done, good luck to you and Snobbers!! Would love to see what windows look like after tinting. Are you just doing 2 back windows and rear screen or doors as well?
PS you might want to check your link, it does not go straight to the voting page any more.

Just a word of warning regarding the window tints.I was going to get mine tinted as per in a previous post.

My neighbour who is an insurance broker suggested it was a modification and to check with my insurance company.

I have been driving for 24 years, no accidents, claims or convictions ever, protected no claims bonus. I also get a discount as I am am member of the Institiute of Advanced Motorists and seperate member of Institute of Advanced Motor Cyclists. I also hold a class 1 HGV which I did a few years ago for fun.

At the moment I pay £276 sterling with a major company with a guaranteed value of £25000 sterling.

To get the windows tinted they said " Oh yes sir, that is a modification. Had you done it without informing us your insurance would be void, I will get an underwriter to ring you back"

An hour later " Yes sir, that is an extra £122.75 on your policy. We will also need to see the certificate from the instaler to state that the tint is within legal limits. If you cant obtain this and still carry out the modification it will have to be inspected by one of our engineers, that inspection will be £140 plus vat as they are independent from ourselves"

I said " No thank you, will leave it how it is"

Remarkable, double check for your own piece of mind and let us know.

Kind Regards

Rob

That should do the trick.

I didn't know that window tinting was classed as a modification I thought a modification was like something to the engine or the body of the car?

I am taking it to a place in manchester he does all of mercedes, bmw, land rover ect ect

I am only getting smoke coloured so not too dark I'm sure they will be road leagal.

here is a link to his website: http://www.pentagonautotints.com/windowtinting.htm

I'll let you know though

Me too - now 75 votes and Snobbers is leading the field by 29 votes.

The June result suggests around 130 votes is needed to win so use your family and friend's email addresses to vote. Note the voting system only allows 3 separate email addresses for each IP address and 1 entry per email address before locking you out.
