Radio code help!!!

Hi fellow EOS owners.
Got my EOS today. You were all spot-on. She is absolutely fantastic. I can't stop grinning.:D

My dealer in France had forgotten to get me the English manuals - won't arrive for 3 weeks. They had also forgotten to put in the radio code and told me I would need to wait an hour to have it done. The roof wouldn't open when they tried to demonstrate it to me, so they connected it to the computer & reset the system I think. Hence the wait.
I said that's ok I'll do it myself, thinking I could understand the french manual enough to do it. I just couldn't wait that long to drive her. I can't make head nor tail of the manual. Feel pretty stupid now:eek:

Can someone out there tell me how to enter the code or copy the manual page for the MFD DVD Dynaudio Nav system.:)

It's very frustrating as radio & nav is locked and as Thursday is a hol in France I can't ask VW until Friday.

Congratulations and welcome Jim ... hope you enjoy it and get everything operating according to manual.
Congratulations on your new arrival. As far as the manual goes regarding decoding sorry cant help. Most systems have a default code such as 1234 initially but I presume you have tried similar combinations.

Have the correct code

Thanks Graham. No I have the code. Problem is knowing how to enter it.
Sorry about that I should learn to read threads correctly.

Cheers
OK Guys,
If somebody has a Dynaudio system and an English manual, you can send him the instructions on entering the radio code. Sorry I can't help as I have a different radio.
P.S. See you will be fixed up by Mark on other forum .... you should be in operation by tomorrow morning your time! Hope it works out.
Now sorted

Persistence does pay off.
Just had another look at the radio. Turned ignition on and then radio. Different display appeared this time. Asking me to enter code. Tried a few buttons & found that righthand knob is the one to use.
Press knob then rotate to select first number. Press knob again to enter number. Repeat for the other numbers. Hey presto radio works.
Easy when you know how to do it. Pity the French manual doesn't show how easy it is!

Thanks to all for help.

Now I can annoy the locals with Norah Jones etc.

Jim.

Hi,

The Radio in my 2006 EOS has been blocked after changing the car's battery. I do have the code written on the cars Manual but each time I enter it the Radio does not accept it. I must be missing something...can anyone help? Thanks in advance
