Tezmand,
Gogg is on the money - have a look at this pic - it shows you exactly where its located (its from a German web site - but none the less, its self explanatory)

I think you can buy an after market booster kit for the aerial - Im not car techincally minded, but others on this forum are...come in SiJ2000!

Anyway, have a looksee.

All the best,
David

Dab

Does anyone have more info on the antenna configuration in the boot lid ?

Have replaced the original stereo with a Grundig DAB unit and fitted a glass mount DAB antenna on front wind screen.
Want to use the built-in antenna in the boot lid and don't give a stuff about AM reception. Need electrical length and wire thickness of the FM2 antenna.
Also, is there a switched 12V supply available in the boot lid ?

I had my AM/FM/Sat w internal 6 CD changer factory radio out to install the Parrot 3000 Bluetooth adapter and there are two antenna cables - one is for the AM/FM antenna and a FM diversity antenna - both seem to go back to the rear lid. There is a third antenna cable for the Sirius satelite radio tuner that also goes to the rear lid. Most of the antennas are in the center of the rear lid towards the rear window, the FM diversity antenna is on the passenger side of the lid. I have not had problems with the AM or FM reception in my USA Eos it seems to be about the same as the reception on the VW Cabrio that I upgraded from.
