Hi everybody

I bought an EOS early December last year and it only had the bog standard RCD300 in. After some advice on here, managed to finally win the bid on the MP3 version. The only trouble is, it doesn't appear to play MP3's.

iPOD connection works, it plays normal audio CDs but when I put a MP3 CD/DVD in it shows ERROR message. (it does have the MP3 text above the CD player)

Has anybody else had this issue? I did buy it off eBay and the seller has 100% feedback, but I've only just found out re the MP3 issue as I hadn't the time to burn to DVD/CD. Should I take it to my local dealer (as apparently it is a new unit that was swapped out for a Nav), or am I doing something wrong! (although I would have thought just inputting the cd /DVD would be enough!

Thanks in advance

Cd / Dvd

Hi Some players will only read MP3's from CD's and not from DVD's have you tried both if not try a CD rather than a DVD and it may work only problem then is you will get 6 albums on a CD and not 50 that you can on a DVD.

I had similar problems when I switched mine over some time ago. Make sure that all of the music on the disk is MP3, because it doesn't like WAV, MP4 or any other type of audio files.

I converted all of my to MP3 using iTunes before burning them to disk - after which all worked out fine.

Hi Tweedy68 - I have tried both CD's and DVDs but to no avail.

Nail-Z-Gull - They are all def MP3s on the CD's although I've burnt via Explorer. I will try doing it via iTUNEs to see whether that helps.

Thanks for the quick responses :)

hi iTunes has worked. Must be some technical thing with Explorer.

Thanks again for all your advice. Will try a DVD size one tomorrow :)

ps - I love my EOS and it's great to know that there are people out there that feel the same and will help where possible. Cheers to you all x
