rear lights- problem

I opened trunk, try to find out "small" door to see which kind of bulbs I have there. But there is no any door or etc., even the manual shows that there should be. Just cover all with nice textil.
I just try to see how to install rear fog light into my car.

No rear fog light on the Eos in the US at least. My Saab did, but then again....Scandanavian (or GM (ugh!)) depending on how you look at it!

In Singapore we have this on the VW models, as well as other continental ones. But seriously we dun need them, people who switched them on are IDIOTS as they are too glaring hahahaa :D

However, the reverse lights seem weak on the EOS, I dun really see much in the dark when I do reversing anyway :D

I once had an Audi with a rear fog light only on the R.H. side, which annoyed me as I like 2 rear fog-lights just for symmetry! On investigating I found that all rear light units were basically the same for all markets, and the wiring was there for lights on both sides because in LHD markets the rear fog-light was on the left..

I just put a bulb in the holder that was already there and hey presto! I had 2 rear fog-lights.

However - on the L.H. side there was no reflective material lining it so it didn't shine very brightly hence I had to do a bit of modifying with reflective silver material.

Maybe things are different on the Eos then but often just to keep costs down there is only 1 light unit that fits all markets and it's just down to what bulbs they put in.

Vw Eos

Now as it's coming more and more actual, need do something.

So I need some elec. shop/person who can do that rear fog light installation.
Does anybody knows is there any place close to Chicago which can do that ?
I live 2 hr west from Chicago, but travelling is not the problem since I get light into my car.

What's the deal with rear fog lights? I understand the purpose of front fog lights as they help light the road ahead, but rear ones? Are they to help drivers from behind in seeing the rear of your car as they get closer? If that's the reason, they must be brighter than rear tail lights.

So, anytime it's rainy/foggy, the driver is required to turn on his fog lights?

yes, rear foglight is brighter than normal one. and you can only use them when it's foggy or bad weather.
and in europe, you have to had those in your car, it's law.
just one, normally in left side.
Correct, just one small error, its on the right in a UK car if there is only one.
