remote car starter for Eos ?

Hi, I have been thinking about buying one. I checked at one of the better places in town, Certified Radio, and they said they don't have the wiring information from VW for the Eos yet. I then talked to their VW installer and he said there shouldn't be a problem installing one as it should be the same as the Jetta. I don't have time to get one installed right now; I am heading south for a couple of months, but post a reply if and when you do get one.

I had asked the dealer to install remote start. They would not do it, nor did they recommend it. They said it would void my warranty if there were any electrical problems and I had remote start installed. This may have just been my dealer, but I was not taking any chances.

Just priced remote start out today!
Just picked up a Cert preowned 08 Komfort for my wife this week and went today to check on remote starters. I do not know if VW offers them as a retrofit or not or what the cost would be from them, but from my reputable local installer (Auto Details Elyria, Ohio, USA ) the Avital 4113 will cost us $399usd and a valet key.
They put a Avital system in her 02 Infinity years ago and it worked great.

It's been 6-7yrs but how did you guys make out?
Thinking this will be this summer project since this past winter was pretty harsh here up north.

I looked into it when I got my SmartTop installed.
At that time the installer wasn't comfortable doing both at once and I already had purchased the smarttop...
Since then I really haven't thought about it until this past never-ending winter!!
Now, I would like the remote start and a heated steering wheel!! The one and only feature I miss from my Maxima
