Aloha All,
I have seen on utube, videos of the EOS using the key fob to make the top go up and down remotely. Does anyone know how this option works? Do you need to program something in the car? Is it an aftermarket install?
Thanks,
Lopaka:confused:

This is not standard. You have to buy an independent roof module and have it installed, it also does a few other tricks like openening while the wheels are moving. It is described else where on this forum.

The remote operation is cool. Helps removes heat before you get in the car. As for putting the top down while your moving, that should be avoided. If your Eos isn't stopped when you start putting the top up or down, you will get an error on your dashboard and the operation will either stop or not start at all. VW does not want any undue stress on the roof mechanism. So if you get one on these modules disable the opening/closing when moving function. If the dealer can prove that any damage was due to use of the module, they will not honor warranty repairs on the roof. I know it would be nice not to have to pull over and stop to put up the top if you get caught in a sudden shower. VW apparently does not share this view.
