This seems like a common issue with any vehicle but since a lot of us have Eos that are older with hard to find replacement parts. I found this site that looks like it MAY be a good fit. Any of you use this company?

Thats a nice find. Looks like you can get offset color stitching, piping and embossed logos.

I just fired off a email asking about the possibility of duplicating the Individual color scheme.

Looks like they do not have a pattern for the rear seats but are willing to offer a 50% discount on making them if you send your existing covers in so they can use them as a pattern.

I have had to ask several times about them duplicating the two tone, with color stitching and piping and keep getting the run around. They have yet to say yes or no to duplicating the pattern

hmm idk thats odd. They have a two tone option but i wonder that that looks like. I see they have this but for a newer jetta. Maybe its a new person answering emails now. Needs to ask a higher up?

The first email response from them when asked about "can you replicate this EOS two tone pattern, along with the stitching and piping" was a link to their site, the same link you already posted. It's this type of brain dead responses that get my blood pressure up. Simple questions, followed up with pictures detailing exactly what is being asked about. It's also a simple answer, either no, we can't do that pattern or yes, we can duplicate it and the cost is........Run around answers just lead to more frustration and I should not have to ask the same question three times and still not get a coherent answer.

Their web server is in Austin Texas. I guess there are a lot of cows in that area for the raw materials?:)
The website is a template based system provided by Bigcommerce.com so whomever owns Lseat could be anywhere in the world. Based on the English used throughout the website, I get the impressions that the person who created it is not a native English speaker.

No address is provided and the Domain is registered with Godaddy and contact details are private.

The email reply I received was from [email protected] via a forwarder seatsshopcom.onmicrosoft.com. Seatshop.com is a upholstery shop in Plano Texas but they don't offer products for Volkswagen

Sounds a bit iffy? There are plenty of websites with fantastic marketing info that want your money, but it's what goes on behind that counts.

I'm just getting p*ssed off with Ebay at the mo. Many sellers listing on Ebay are using Ebay as 'Facilitators'. When you try to contact a seller about a problem, non arrival of items, tracking info held at shipped but nothing moving, or returns, they say 'Oh that's Ebays problem, we (The seller) ship all our stuff to their warehouse and non-delivery, damaged goods on arrival, or not what you ordered is their problem! I also see Seller payments are now going to 'Ebay Commerce' not directly to the seller. I see an interesting Distant Selling consumer law case challenge coming up soon.
There is not a EBay warehouse that hosts products like Amazon does. EBay transactions are between you and the seller and the seller has to ship the product and provide tracking details. Shipping can be purchased through EBay or you can use your own shipping. EBay does provide a shipping service that is facilitated through EBay, mainly used for international shipping. So the address on the package is a EBay location/warehouse, where these packages are collected, relabeled and then sent to the consumer. Maybe this is what you have been told from sellers. If a package is missing there is not much a seller can do, they can contact the shipping service and inquire. EBay provides certain guarantees as a buyer to get your money back in this situation. It can get a bit tricky say if your package arrives, is left on your door step and someone steals it. Tracking will show it as delivered to your home. High ticket items should be sent with delivery confirmation, that way expensive stuff is not left at your door, delivery person has to knock, deliver package and get a signature. If a package arrives damaged, then you initiate a return with EBay, send the item back and get your refund. Damaged items normally are returned free of charge, items you changed your mind about and are not damaged may require you to pay return shipping.

So some of that info you posted is absolutely incorrect, that is, whomever that seller is they are either ill informed or are outright liars. The transaction is between you and the seller, EBay is a mediary and provides certain guarantees to both parties.

Payments made for a product used to be handled directly through PayPal but EBay has their own payment services now, so they take payment and minus fees pays the seller. If a refund is issued, EBay will use existing funds from that seller for refund and if funds not available, will draw funds directly from the sellers bank account.

youtube has a bunch of videos on the covers. Mostly BMW guys. I think $400 isnt a bad to try. Ill have time to mess with it as its a 3rd car. I can take the seats out, leave the car in the driveway till im done with it. Shouldnt be an issue just tedious apparently. im going to replace, upgrade other things as the seats arent really my concern now.
If the quality of the leather and the fitment is really good, then the price is reasonable, especially with the option of doing some customizing

I've been an Ebay member for 21 years but my experience is mostly with buying! Ebay trading has changed since they dropped PayPal as a default payment method. All payments from buyers like me go to 'eBay Commerce UK Ltd' not directly to the seller, look at your card statements. In the past, sellers would faciltate their own delivery using parcel firms like DPD, DHL, Evri etc. But now sellers moving a lot of items use and pay eBay to be their 'facilitator' to manage the money transfer between buyer & seller and shipping items you bought. It seems similar to Amazon warehousing. A seller stocks a warehouse/storage unit with their items and the orders coming in are fulfilled by a third party who a seller may have less control over?

The tracking systems used by carriers can be exploited by flaws in their system. A tracking number can be generated immediately you checkout, but the item may not actually be in stock and you will see no movement of the item you bought from the first stage of 'Item despatched'. Another trick: If you clicked by mistake at checkout, you have no time to submit an eBay automated cancellation request for a refund after a tracking number has been (automatically?) generated. You have to ask the seller nicely via eBay messaging to cancel your mistaken order which they might refuse, or not reply to your mesage.

When you receive an item, its barcode is scanned as confirmation they delivered it. But it could be scanned and left at the wrong address! eBay uses the tracking delivered confirmation to prove delivery if you raise an item not delivered case. That's why some carriers are now taking a phone photo of the item where it was left and most are 'Drop & run'. We see this many times on our CCTV, no call is made, the item is left and they get away as quick as possible. Even when an item has a tracking label, the delivery company may not scan its barcode but use their mobile phone to a call center to say 'Item delivered'.

IMHO Asian sellers may try to pass off fakes and items 'not as described', but I've always managed to get eBay refunds because the items are usually sent with valid tracking numbers. The problem with some Asian sellers is they use fake returns addresses and UK post codes. I use Google Earth to check a post code address returns location and add my own 'from' address so it comes back to me. When you return an item tracked with an eBay return label, it never gets delivered and may come back to you a week later! eBay returns system has to see their barcode scanned at the seller address before you are refunded. The other trick they use is to send a totally different cheap and insignificant item without enclosing paperwork and you have to be a detective to link it to the real item you bought. I've had more success using eBay for Asian items than Ali, it's harder to get problems sorted and money back with Ali. Also Chinese websites often list many items they do not stock, they are just fishing and will try to source an item after you pay them.

I have used eBay for house and room renovation projects in the past. But it's when you order multiple items needed for a project you see the flaws which now seem to be on the delivery and order fulfilment side? For me, eBay has now become the Wild West of online buying with more loopholes being exploited by the larger companies and a disproportionate amount of my time spent on 'Chat' to raise a case and get it resolved. eBay still works well for private sellers of individual items concerned to get good feedback and keep their reputation.

An interesting issue for U.K consumer law and your rights is where the Contract between you lies when goods are bought online from a seller, but payment is made indirectly to eBay acting as a third party facilitator? I suspect you have no rights until after some (long) time until eBay releases payment to the seller?
Let me clear up a few issues with EBay.

As a buyer, when you check out, the default payment is your credit card/bank account through EBay, but during checkout you can change this to PayPal.

Ebay is nothing like Amazon when it comes to fulfillment. At Amazon, a seller can either fulfill their own orders or opt to send their product to Amazon, which houses their products and fulfills the orders on the customers behalf. This is a good service especially with all of the sellers from China, as you will get your product within a few days and not a few months. Amazon also does not provide delivery options like EBay.

Again, EBay does not store product for sellers, they never have. If something akin to this is going on, it would be something the seller has control over and something they are specifically paying a 3rd party to do. I could see something like this as being beneficial for Chinese sellers, but its also not a situation I have ever encountered.

As a seller, you can setup which shipping options you want to offer, both for domestic and international. EBay does have their own shipping, which is processed through the USPS (in the US) and if you choose this option, your shipping label will have a EBay sorting center address on it, this is where packages are collected, relabeled and sent out to the buyers. That is the extent of my knowledge with EBay's shipping service. I use this primarily for shipping international, as its less expensive than our USPS International mail.

Delivery confirmation can pose some problems with delivery to the wrong address and scanned as delivered and delivered and never scanned and of course, delivered, scanned and then stolen. If these end up being common problems, the best course of action is to see if you can get delivery with signature confirmation. This ensure proper delivery and avoids porch pirating of your package.
