I am thinking of buying some made-to-measure luggage and have come across these two models, one by Roadsterbag (available on eBay) and the other made by VW.

They are both roughly the same price (€140), but from the photos the Roadsterbag (right) looks slightly better quality, but it's hard to tell. Does anyone have any personal experience?

Actually from the photos it seems the other way round.

I have one of the VW ones and it looks good and is practical as well. Used it when I stayed over for a couple of nights on a course recently.

I've got the VW luggage and they seem reasonable enough although I haven't actually used them yet !

Thanks for your input. I went with the Roadsterbags in the end off the German eBay. I had seen a number of damaged second-hand VW cases on various eBays and they all seemed to have ripped handles, or torn linings. Maybe the Roadsterbag will be just as fragile, we shall see.
