Hi All,

We ordered our Eos a month back and just came across this site. :)

Deep Black, black leather and full chrome pack are the main details. We've gone for the 1.4tsi engine which I believe is the replacement for the 1.6 in 2008. Not sure if thats the case in Britian, but it is over here in Germany. I'm Scottish btw, we just live over here!

Anyhow, can't wait for the thing to arrive. :D

Cheers,
Gary.

GREAT!!! Welcome... It is the case in Britain, just I don't think it is available yet... I also think there will be a 1.8TSI to replace the 2.0FSI (non turbo), but not sure on that one!

Good luck... :)

Thanks for the welcome :)

The 1.4tsi isn't technically available in the Eos here in Germany at the moment either, found out when we checked for the insurance and the guy said that they couldn't quote on it properly till this week as the list wouldn't be updated with the 2008 models till Nov.

It's funny looking through the forum with everyone mentioning how rare it is to see an Eos in the UK... there are loads of them around here!

Cheers,
Gary.

Well I had high hopes to see the car before I fly back to the UK on Monday night for another 2 weeks at work as the dealer told us at the beginning of the week that the car was in Darmstadt and they should have it in the garage by yesterday. Called them yesterday to be told it still hadn't arrived, they are now expecting it at the garage on Monday. The reason being although the car is in Darmstadt which is only about 40kms from the garage it won't be delivered untill there is a full load for the transporter heading in this direction. Just the way they operate. Nothing can be done about it. :( Means my wife will pick the car up and because we are spending christmas in the UK after my work I won't see it in the flesh till January!

Funny how a new car can turn you back into a stroppy kid. I want to stomp my feet and shout 'it's just not fair!!'

Yup, it's frightening. My local Tesco has super unleaded at 106.9 and normal at 102.9.

:D Well it arrived this week, My wife went in on Wednesday and took some pics of it all covered in plastic, then picked it up for real on Friday. She is loving it and I can't wait to get home and see the thing in the flesh. Still stuck offshore for another 10 days. :(

I'll stick up some pics in the right section when I get a min.

Cheers,
Gary.
