i had a piece luggage in the trunk, and placed the wind deflector (in its carry bag) on top of the folding lid. after shopping, i forgot about this, and just open the roof down, and then realised half-way home that my wind deflector was squashed inside the trunk :(

luckily, i found the wind deflector just fitted under the hard-top frame, and was un-damaged. lucky escape :)

Even more lucky, it did not break the top. Just a few months ago, another auto manufacture wanted a quote for a sensor that could tell if there were any items in the trunk out side of the storage space. They were having issues where people were placing items out of the storage area, opening the top, and the rear window was breaking.

If you put the lift-up cover that goes between the roof and the luggage compartment back in place after you load this compartment, you should never have this problem.

Leaving the cover clipped back is just asking for trouble when you are in a hurry or otherwise preoccupied.

My roof will not go down if the folding lid in the boot is not secured in place in readiness for the roof removal. A message comes up on the multi function screen saying that the folding lid is not in place if you try to lower the roof. Is this not the same on every Eos?
Incidentally - had the roof down today for the first time all day. Although cold, it was a lovely day in Devon but the heater & wind deflectors kept us warm. Photo attached.
Kind regards,
John.

Indeed, same in my car.

But I don't believe this applies to the sides of the boot...

There are clips built into the cover that clip into the boot floor. The passenger side boot fllor receptor has a microswitch in it, that has to be depressed before the roof can operate.

The instructions say to only put things under the cover, not on top or to the sides, as there is no way to detect anything in these areas. There are the odd safe spots, but you would need to map them out carefully.

if i do not put the folding cover firmly in place, there is always some noise in the trunk compartment. Just need to be more careful next time
