Hi, my 2007 EOS has a leakage on the roof so I've been to a specialist who identified the issue but can't find the part.
I will attach some pictures that he took maybe someone can tell me where I could find it

Thanks

That's the Epdm rubber 'tank' that collects water from bad failed roof seals and sends it to the front, rear or 'both at once' drains. The V.W parts diagram doesn't look anything like it. It is a very important part collecting water that shouldn't drip past the sunroof seals and can hold water depending on the parking angle. Any splits or damage to the rubber channel and water will drip through into the side trim. I 'Think' this is the part described as "Repair set seal for roof bracing" and there's something about 'Modification' to find out. I'm not a V.W trained specialist! You'll love the price for a pair.

So both the seals and this tank are failing to do their job and beside de tank itself I should change the bracing seal?

Thank you

I would make sure the epdm 'tank' is actually leaking before spending the money. I've had mine out and I can't see how they would ever rot or leak unless somebody damaged them? Just because you show a photo with a drip of water at the bottom doesn't mean that's the problem as there's also a 'water deflector' inside the assembly. You should block the ends, pour in water then squidge it about and see if it leaks. Read the workshop manual for important information!

As for the question of replacing seals. I'm afraid those seals may not be the problem, but re-assembly definitely is now you have bitten the bullet to remove the top side bracings and tricky.

The shop manual has virtually nothing to help you put it all back together and get no leaks. On these cars the method to replace seals and what your eyes see can be far more important than the part itself which in this case is probably ok. Forget the principle "If I buy and fit a new part I won't have a leak afterwards"!
