Hi there everyone. We have tried to open the roof today but it is only going halfway and then stops. Have checked the boot and the luggage cover is in the right position, have checked sensors, and there is nothing blocking them, in fact the boot is empty (amazing for a woman!!!). Any suggestions or is it a trip to the garage tomorrow? Thanks

Wendy

This is just so odd - it is working now! Must have known I was on the forum! No messages were coming up on the MFD by the way which was why it was so baffling. Am a happy bunny now! Hope sun shines again tomorrow so I can get my top off! (roof of course!!!) :D :p

Don't know if it applies here, but one of the things that will stop the top from coming down is if the luggage cover is not TOTALLY down and lock in place. Perhaps your cover was just a little bit out.

If the luggage cover is not down, you should get an error light on the dashboard and the top shouldn't do anything.

Hi Simon

Nope, nothing on the display and only using the roof lever - all very odd. Checked all the usuals, sensors and luggage cover double checked but just wouldn't work. As I have said, it's working now so I am happy and the sun is shining so may just take her for a spin! I think it was because my hubby was driving! Very particular my car you know! :D Thanks for help

Exactly the same happened to me last weekend, but it was very cold here and we think the roof had frozen (it was minus 5 overnight.) We left in the sun for a while and it opened smoothly.
You might want to check your owner's manual. There is a minimum temperature you can put your roof down in. IF I remember, here in the US that figure is 5 degrees F.

I know this might sound really really daft but as you look at the buttons to put the roof up and down theres a black button and then theres a silver handle under it what is it for??? i never got chance to put the roof down on the test drive as it was raining :(

Hi Steph,
The silver handle opens the roof when you push it down and closes when you lift it up. The black button just does the panoramic roof panel.
Make sure the luggage cover is in the down position in the boot or the roof wont open.

Have fun,
Jim.
