Due to my present wife having packed the kitchen sink (including waste disposal) and the entire contents of her wardrobe when we went on holiday; I managed to put a little scratch into the rear bumper when I attempted to lift a huge bag out of the boot. The scratch is on that flat bit at the top of the bumper; I vaguely recall being offered some sort of paint protection thing when I ordered the car, which was discounted due to cost.
Anyone seen something which could be fixed to the top of the bumper and protect it without looking like some daft add-on thingy?

btw; managed to get everything in the boot, except my shirts which sat on the rear seat, for two of us for a weeks' touring holiday and still get the roof down; there is quite a bit of room under that luggage cover if you use appropriate shaped baggage. :)

Cheers,
Pete.

When you referred to her as "my present wife", I made the assumption that your spouse was on the hook for the damages to the rear bumper. From my experience they all love to pack lots of nice clothes ... God bless them! Be sure she doesn't feel guilty!
Cheers!

Was it this? http://oempl.us/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=11&products_id=206&osCsid=6cfc3

I would also look into having someone install a strip of the 3m vinyl coating (the same material used for clear bras).. It might be cheaper..
No, I think that it was the vinyl coating patches, but it came in a kit for the whole car (vulnerable areas) and was just too expensive. I'll check out buying this stuff in un-cut sheet form.
As for the current wife... she has graunched one of the alloys on her Polo.... "It wasn't me.... etc"
Thanks,
Pete.
