Being a bit of a twit, was parking a little too quickly earlier - shouldn't have paid any attention to the other annoying drivers!
Anyway, clipped a rather large kerb, thought nothing of it.
Driving home, the tyre warning light came on - although took me a while to figure out what it was!
got home to discover I've scuffed the front passenger alloy, and have a horrible feeling i've gone on to puncture the tyre - or at least the top up tube bit!

What a twonk I feel!! Landed up phoning VW assist, talk about acting like a right girl! Hopefully its nothing more serious :(

As i'm thinking about trading it in in a couple of months - before its warranty runs out, any ideas of costs for a new alloy?!

Cheers, that's not a bad price I guess!
As luck had it, I've just popped the seal on the tyre, not punctured it, so just need a quick visit to kwik fit or something similar to sort it out for me!

Vw assist man did say it was quite a common occurance though! - def better than a having to buy a new tyre!

I scuffed mine the first weekend I had it too. I think it must be some sort of initiation. I've managed to preserve the wheels for the last 2 years though.

Managed to pick up a spare wheel on ebay for £50, so had a spare whilst I sent the damaged one off for repair.
