Hi all
My EOS is now 8 months old and 'only' 6'700kms. She will drive us for a week-long tour of the lakes of Northern Italy at the end of April, and then a trip to South-eastern Spain at the end of July. So it will be about 1'400km and then roughly 2'500km for the car without ever having been checked by VW, since I believe the first control is scheduled only after 30'000kms...
What do you guys frecommend?
Shall I take it to VW for a rapid check before driving those extra miles, and what should I then ask they pay attention to (tyres, brakes, oil, roof.. )?
Thanks for your valuable thoughts!
Fred

Thanks! I'll trust your expert-though-not-official advice ;-) I only use the Castrol that was recommended by my VW dealer the day I bought the car and he gave me a couple of samples of.

As long as your fluid levels are good and the tires are pumped and your credit cards are not over the limit, you should be good to go:D

As long as the fluids and tyres are OK. I have driven my Eos 1500 in 1 day. In my D3 I have driven up to 3000 kms in a weekend. The stealers won't check anything apart from fluids and tyres. In Europe you will never be far from a service centre anyway. I also assume all driving will be on sealed surfaces, thereby further taking stress off the vehicle. The service intervals are 15,000 kms and manufacturers are always conservative with these (modern synthetic oils are good for a lot more than 15,000 kms)
My opinion only.
