I have a 2009 EOS 1.4 TSI (just 3 weeks old). I had ordered a smart top module from mods4cars.com and received it this week.
Today I installed the module as described in the manual.
But the green LED does not blink. It's either permanently ON or permanently OFF. When there is activity the LED turns on and then off. (when door is open for example)

When the module is installed, my sunroof and the top of the car does not open (even with the internal controls). Also the trunk can not be controlled from the remote control.
Also, I can't enter the programming mode of the module.

I believe there is a problem with the cables. But it can be also a problem with the module. How can I troubleshoot and solve this problem ?

In my past experience, sending an email to mods4cars has resulted in an immediate respons. Sorry you've had trouble. I do recall that the last page of the manual had some troubleshooting tips. If you can't re-enter the programming of the module, I'd very carefully go back and check your connections. Is it possible that you have attached wires to the wrong place?????

Sorry to here you have problems. Couple of questions:-
1. Did you use the T harness to plug module into the wiring loom?
2. Are the 2 snaplock connectors closed fully? On mine I ended up closing them with a pair of needlenose pliers to make sure they made contact properly.
Other than that it sounds like you might have a problem with the module, in which case you need to get back to the supplier.
Good luck sorting this out, its a fantastic unit when it works properly.

I already contacted the manufacturer. They are really very willing to help, but I am not sure if it will work.
The manufacturer connected to my ST module through USB connection on my PC and checked the module. They said it is in good condition and updated it.
I will try to reinstall when I get some time.
But I am really not very hopeful. To me nothing changed on the module so it won't work.
