Hey folks!

Just had snow tires put on today. Anyone else used them? I've never had anything but all-seasons and didn't drive a ton in the winter, but when I did, it wasn't pretty.

Do they do the trick?

Yes. They are rated for the colder weather and track better. But they will wear faster when driven on dry roads.

We started putting snow tires on our cars a few years ago and have been amazed at the difference in handling. (Which reminds me, I should make an appointment to have the tires on the Saturn swapped soon.)

We priced out snow tires for the Eos, though, and have decided (for this year, anyway) to park her this winter until roads are clear and dry. Winnipeg gets a fair number of those days, so it shouldn't be too bad, but we'll drive the Saturn during the worst days.

Speaking of which, I should book my appointment as well. Winter came early this yr for Toronto.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to get hubcaps for my snow tires....i currently have the plain old black snow tires but i don't think my EOS deserves that look....

I bought new rims with my snow tires, so they'll just swap them out. The winter rims are just as nice as the summer ones, worth checking out for sure.
