I smelt Autumn in the air this morning :( so can we get some dates organised for the tractor part of our Eos meet:) ? As before, those who are interested let me know which dates you CAN make in October/ early November then we'll go from there (it worked last time so...). And Doolallygirl, we will escort you from door to door I think ;) (but not on a tractor!)

 Excellent! If my better half is to come with me (bathroom nearly finished three weeks on!) then we can make 11, 18, 24 of October or 1, 7, 8, 14, 15 November but those are all subject to Arsenal not changing the dates of their matches! Boys and football :(

...were by far the greatest team...the world has ever seen! And its Arrrssseeeenall, A-R-S-E-N-A-L FC! Sing that to your other half, shake his hand from a fellow gooner! You know the Arsenal dates have to come 1st, standard procedure!

Stoddy!:)
Like DLG, I can make 11 & 18th October and any Sunday in November... Saturdays no good for us im afraid!

S
Liz and I are ok most Sunday's in October. 18th might be a bit dodgy as we are driving back from Bournemouth in the morning.
Looking forward to it.
Tim
All looking good. More to come, then decision time - who's going to get first go on the tractor!!
Any weekends in October and November are free for us at the moment.

Lol I'm actually a Man U fan myself so I won't be shaking his hand for supporting that French team! lol
So, it looks like November (we can't do the two October Sundays). SO let's say 12.30 Sunday November 1st. I'll make a bolognese and some baked potatoes and some cakes so no need for picnics - who's vegetarian???? Did you know that if you're breeding sheep and you put the ram in on 1st November, lambs will be due on April 1st? Now that's pretty far away from Eoses, but please, moderator, don't delete the thread!!!
And this time let's take some pictures of our CARS!!

Hi CIB, no chance of deletion from this country boy...

When I stayed on Australian sheep stations in my younger days, we always referred to the ram's vital appendage as the "pizzle". Treating pizzle rot was not a job to volunteer for under any circumstance.

I am certain the ewe would not appreciate the ram being "put in" if you get my drift.....:D :D :D .
 In the FIELD, Silvershadow!!:D
I have put it in my calendar! We are vegetarian, but we can bring a couple of rolls! Not a problem! Baked potato sounds good also!

I won't delete your post either!

Best

In the FIELD, Silvershadow!!

:) Told you I was a country boy - we go straight to the basics :D .

Wouldn't it be great if you could host an International Eos Ploughing competition sometime in the future? A parade of Eosi carrying the national flags of everyone at the beginning and the Australian National Anthem at the end of the day when we finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd
.

PS What model tractor? I cut my teeth on the ubiquitous little grey Fergie 35 - the only tractor to be immortalised in a monument for saving a town from flooding [Wentworth NSW in 1956].

It would be a great day - but what a long journey for all you Australians to make, only to face the shame and disappointment of losing :) especially to a woman!
It's a grey fergie - 1953 TEF20 - restored by my husband from a pile of rust.

"It's beautiful - shadow blue and cornsilk beige leather 2.0 tdi. It's bright blue in the sun and dark blue in the clouds, and it goes like a dream. I love it!"

Make up your mind - is the Fergie grey or Shadow Blue - and I would have thought that doing up a Fergie with cornsilk beige leather was a bit of a waste -

- especially with all the cow poo you must have flying around -

- at least with a 2.0tdi motor it would have a bit of toe for all that ploughing -

-by the way what does your Eos look like?

I would finish 2nd to my partner Sue, she is better than me

Classic tractor and one to enjoy - your husband might like to see the following links about the 50th Anniversary of the Wentworth Flood which included a huge gathering of "little grey Fergies" which were the heroes of that time:

The story of the Flood and the Fergie tractor is in the following links:

The classic photo of the Fergie being shouted a beer in the Royal Hotel for a "job well done" is on the following link [the beer was then poured into the radiator]:

Just a second - I thought this was an EOS forum!!;) (Thank you SS, my husband will be delighted)
Back to the original thread - one field is ready for our Eos extravaganza (!) and the plot will soon be ready for ploughing (I just have to pick all the veg!!). If I could ever sort myself out to put photographs on here you would be able to see how beautiful the Eoses look against a tractor backdrop!:D
It's all set for November 1st - field is prepared for the Eos show, tractor is ready, plough is greased and waiting. :)
