So excited (newbie, first post)! Will be picking up my 2.0T, white/beige on 5/12 - purchased sight unseen based on move to Naples, Florida, land of the Everglades and sub-tropical climate. Any problems finding spots for the usual odds and ends - sunglasses, CDs, change, bugspray? Have the single CD changer, so where does the CD collection go? Have loved skulking the site so far, thank you all for the help!

under the seats

there is so much room under the front seats....i store my cd's there. if you don't have the electric seats i've seen a drawer on one of the web sites that can be installed. but i actually fit a good size shoe box under there. but it does slide forward sometimes, so a bungie cord hold it in place. i have the electric seats so the drawer option was out, but the box does good for stuff i want to carry but don't need to grab all the time....good luck and enjoy

Under Seat Drawers

:) Hi
I have fitted the VW under seat storage drawers to my EOS Sport, and they work a treat, They are big enough to hold your sunglasses, digital camera and a number of Cd's.
They have a locking Handel at the front which means they will not fly open when you brake and as they are situated under the seats they are hard to see from outside the car, they have no key locks fitted to them but being situated low down in the car they are covered by the cars microwave alarm when the top is down.
A good usable accessory easy to fit and not to expensive.

Under Seat Drawers

Bill

Were these supplied with the car ?

Graham
Hi Graham
No they are not fitted as standard but if your Eos has not got the electric seat pack fitted, you can fit the under seat storage drawers, you can order them from your local VW dealer, they come in two colourers, Black and a light shade to match your trim, and they are not hard to fit.
My Eos is UK spec with the red nappa leather seats fitted so mine are black.

Under seat storage

Thanks Bill

After 4,000 mile touring this was the biggest thing lacking in the car.

Would you believe, I had to use the under seat space to bring back a years supply of Cigars! What a shame......

I shall be onto my dealer this morning.

Hi cali, the storage drawers don't fit the electric seats, but the sport package doesn't come with electric seats in the UK, they are yet another option you can pay extra for.

The prats at my dealership say that it has to be factory fitted ! of course this is incorrect, so perhaps you would be kind enough to let me have the part number of the drawer if you have it.

Thanks

Under Seat Drawers

Hi Graham
The part numbers shown are for the BLACK drawers and runners.
VIKO 882 602 J8 2V N/STK DRAWER
VIKO 882 601 J8 2V N/STK DRAWER
VIKO 882 600 B9 B9 N/STK FRAME
VIKO 882 599 B9 B9 N/STK FRAME
you will also require the small fixing screws:VN 909 998 01 N/STK SCREW should be in a packet of 10.you will require eight of them.
I also purchased the two small brackets for the rear of the frames,
VIKO 881 547/8 A BRACKET but did not fit them, couldn't see the need.
You will require an 11m star spline socket to unscrew the seat fixings and a small torque screwdriver a T20, just tilt the seat back and screw in the four small screws through the drawer frames into the pre-drilled holes on the seat pan.
Do not disconnect the wire multi plug under the seat, the cable is long enough to allow the seat to be tilted back.
Hope this helps.

Just bought a steel CD case on ebay. It's a Targus brand with bubble sleeves (microsoft type), holding 12 cds with their booklets, or 24 without. It fits in the middle of the glovebox, the clips holding the manual stop it fitting at either side. It's approx 7" long x 5 3/4" wide x 2" deep (17.5cmx14.5x4.75), so it also fits in the doors. At about £6, inc postage, I'm well pleased.
