Greeting from Sunny Suffolk.

I took delivery of my beloved deep black Eos in March 2008, and have had 13 monthes of delightful driving. The car turns heads and comments wherever she goes, and my neighbours truly believe I am quite mad as come sun, wind or rain I am out washing and polishing her and they have seen me ensure I take at least two parking spaces whenever I park in a car park! I have been checking out this site for well over a year and thought it about time that I sign up and say hi to all the other Eos devotees in the world. I have had my ups (26 degrees top down, wanting to be no other place in the world than my Eos) and my downs (four monthes on the road a white van man drove into me, and caused £3,000 worth of damage owch, and left me driving a bloody Clio (never ever again) for a month) But I can honestly say to all the people who e-mail to questioning whether to purchase an Eos, I have never had a leak and the car is worth every single penny and once the sun comes out and with the sunnies on it truly is a fabulous car to drive.

Hi Andi and welcome to the forum. I trust you have many more happy years of Eosing.

On a more serious note - this thing about parking accross two parking spaces.

While I understand the sentiment, it is a naughty thing to do, and could incite people who can't get a parking spot 'cos you've used two, to do more damage than would have been caused by a door.

Hi Andi,

I 2 park in 2 spaces where i know i can get away with it.

I have to stay in a hotel during the week and i have an agreement with them that i straddle 2 bays its part of the fee i pay them.

In fact its something they offer all there long term guests.

Sorry to hear about the crash i hope you have your baby back now.

One other thing you might want to try is using your mobile take a photo of your car and the cars its parked beside showing clearly the licence plate number. If you get a prang and the paint is the same colour of the car in your photo its a good chance they did it. Also timecode your photos.

See you on the fens :)

Thanks for the parking comments folks! Ok I know its naughty but hey I do try my hardest to park in the furthest corner of any carpark to help the situation, but I can almost guarantee even if it is an empty carpark some mean driver will park so close I need a can opener to climb into my car....hummm I think the only other option is keeping a set of traffic cones in my boot to use when parking ...hee....hee!!! 2 other questions I have been wanting to ask: how often should I krytox my seals? What product do I use? How easy is this to do? So far it has been done by my local VeeDub garage who have done a cracking job, but is DIY as simple option? Also does the wind deflector make a huge difference to driving with the roof down? Also am I the only mad Eos owner that feels a need to wave or flash my lights at any other Eos's on the road, I just get so excited when I see another, to the worry of any passengers travelling with me.....

Welcome Andi, all of your above questions can be answered by putting each one into the 'search' button top right hand corner.
Happy, safe driving

You're absolutely right there and I've noticed it too.
I have parked at the farthest possible point away from the Entrance in a nearly empty car park and STILL there's a car either side of mine when I come back.

I've come to the conclusion that cars are very sociable and enjoy the company of other cars...!

If you hop on the train and at one end of the carriage there are a half a dozen drunks and down the other end, an attractive young lady, which way would you go to sit down?
