I guess I would have to see a few more shots (especially before and after). Is the material the same stuff they use to darken windows? Does it peel off without any damage if you changed your mind? I think you may be on to something here. I've thought the "colored" roof panels look slightly out of place although they do give the car a "hard top" convertible look. Most of the people I've showed the car to are surprised to see the top go down.
I assume the material on the VW badging is reflective? I think I'll pass on that. I personally think VW's badging is a little over the top and in-your-face. I would like to see that "toned" down a bit. Maybe a smaller badge.
its not those window films nor translucent type, its the gloss black opaque stickers. they have matt black as well and its the 'rage' here to do up the entire car for matt black look, i'll pass on that tho. i've seen a nicely done up Lambo on matt black and its damn cool for that type of sports series.
for the badging, this dry carbon is made by 3M and non reflective. my intention is to do up the chrome grill later and might do the bonnet, my work's in Construction and I get lotsa stone chips, new coat of paint is not in my agenda but rather to protect the car using stickers, i can peel them off anytime i wan for a new piece, no hassles of going thru paint shops nor suffer a paint warp if i change a particular piece
