i too have been very interested in these items but nobody seems to have actually bought one either here or on vwvortex
opinion says as they only use windows ce they could be glitchy
still not written it off and have found a seller in the uk so was considering asking him for one to try on assumption we couls sell a few on hewre if it turns out ok

Any chance of a picture. Also, where did you get it fitted and how much was it ?

Please be cautious, I take delivery of my Eos this month and thought the VW optional extra too expensive. So I have been looking at retro fit units. The Zenec seems to fit all my requirements too, but they are launching a new unit ZE-NC2010 which will have all the satnav functions built in and will do away with having to purchase the additional unit ZE-NA2000.

Was the NC2000 actually available, I emailed Zenec, asking what the difference was between the NC and MC units, they told me the NC was never avaialble, and it was them who told me of the 2010. They advised me that if I needed satnav I would have to get the MC with the additional box, they further advised of the pending 2010 and advised it was due early next year. However another source in one of the Motor Manufacturers has told me that at a recent show he attended in Germany last month, he was advised it may be expected later this moth.

When my car is delivered, (I was told today it has been built and is now in transit) if it arrives before the 2010 comes to the market I can see I will need to make further enquiries.
I have been offered the MC at a price so clsoe to trade to make any difference, I just did not fancy the idea of having to have another unit fitted to the car for satnav, do you know if the NC2000 is touch screen.

I do some agency work for one of the motor manufacturers in the UK and the parts/accessories guys here tell me they are being told the end of this month. Zenec, when I emailed them for some info, told me early next year, so its a matter of "watch this space"
I must admit with the new model so close I am in two minds about fitting an older unit, I am advised the screen graphics on the 2010 are a little better.

Here are some pictures.
I am satisfied with device. It has some little problems, but nothing seriously.
Some are fixed with firmware update 1.1.
It is a bit slower than expected (startup takes about 7 to 10 s), reading 4GB SD takes about 5 s.
General it is worth its money
