There aren't alot of mods for the 3.2 like there is for the 2.0. The big thing is the DSG trans has a horsepower/torque limit( I don't remember if its 300HP or 300 ft lbs. of torque) . VW wasn't offering it on the 3.6 or any engine above it. And as we all know the six speed manual is not available in the US on the 3.2L Eos.As some of you know, the 3.2L EOS doesn't have a turbo and i was wondering if anyone else had put a after market turbo on it.
If so, was it worth it?

Although what you say may be true, VW still does not offer DSG in the Passat even with the 2.0 engine. Apparently VW doesn't feel it may be heavy duty enough for use in a heavier car. There have been no long term studies as to the durability of DSG tied to a higher output 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder at 300 hp or 300ft lbs of torque. If the DSG fails in these types of vehicles during the warranty period the question to be asked is whether VW will repair these under warranty? You will hear people refer to the Moss-Magnuson Act but under this instance where the engine is modified beyond what the trans was designed for it may not apply. So any major mods are to be done at you own risk. Besides on an Eos the more power under the hood the harder it gets to keep the front wheels from breaking loose. For that you really need an all wheel drive system.Look on VWvortex.com at the DSG Area Posts there are many who have done Stage 2 or even Stage 3 performance upgrades on VW cars with DSG transmission and most of the reports are good although there are some issues with rough shifting that many people report.
There is also a 3.2 Area to give you some ideas. You may want to try exhaust changes intake changes and performance chip before deciding to invest in a turbo upgrade.
Hi Dean,cb391, I don't think the reason for VW not including the DSG in the Passat has anything to do with it being too light duty for the extra weight of the Passat. In fact, the Eos weighs MORE than the Passat; Eos = 3569 Lbs / Passat = 3334 Lbs. Quite possible, VW wanted to only offer the DSG in Eos for marketing purposes...who knows, It VW!!!
You are correct about the control issue of spinning the wheels with additional power. I have the 2.0T with the 93 performance chip (252 Hp, 303 LbFt). At quick starts, the tires turn over in several gears...however, it does offer exceptionally improved passing power on the highway.
