Pulled a thorn out of one of the front tyres only to hear the hiss of escaping air........

On the shoulder so not repairable.

Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 235/45 R17 97W "Extra Load" are £150 each around here!

Anyone have tyres this size but different brand - the car is a 2.0 with optional 17" wheels.

If I was replacing due to wear I would use them but this is due to a puncture and would rather it was used on the space saver as little as possible. (edit - their price is tyre only so add around £20 for fitting etc.)

The A2 felt awful on the space saver and that one was about twice as wide as the one that comes with the EOS!

There is space in the boot so I might look for a steel wheel.
