can the OEM under seat storage drawer be purchased from vwuk or do you have to go to the USA to get them?

Be aware that the under seat storage drawers can not be fitted if you have power seats.

I got one under the passenger seat (driver's side is electric) as standard here in France, so I think you should be able to source one more locally than the US.

Incidentally, it's just the right size for a Michelin road map

Yes all the required parts are available to order from your local VW dealer.

If you do a search using "drawers* you will get all the info including part numbers, picture guide, etc you need to do this worthwhile mod which only takes about 20mins a side to do, using the listed tools and a heavy blanket to protect the inner sill plactic trims. I believe it currently costs about £80 for a 2 drawer kit.

£40 for a plastic box just big enough to hold a Michelin map I certainly wouldn't have paid that if it hadn't come with the car. Sounds like an even bigger rip-off than the Nappa leather (my current obsession )

Storage in the EOS is permium - since there is VERY little of it. So the drawers add just more extra storage, and they fit perfectly and match perfectly. Personally, I think they were very worth it. Price was a little high, but damn I needed more storage!

Well, a Michelin map measures 11 x 24.5cm when folded (obviously ) and I can squash about 4 large ones in, so about 6cm deep.

I agree that storage space is at a premium in the Eos and I suppose I shouldn't moan about the price: I just paid £38 for a plastic boot liner today

The seat drawer: Width 9.75 inches by Height 2.62 inches by Depth 4.75 inches. Sorry I did not take the time to conver it to metric units.

The kits include everything it takes (excluding tools) to install the drawer. there is an English version of the installation manual online too.
