I recently leased a new 2007 EOS with the 3.2 V6 and the DSG automatic transmission. I'm slowly getting acquainted with this special vehicle that has so many personalities. I have found that the User Manual does not always describe the car I purchased. And there are things on my vehicle not found in the user manual.
Does anyone know what the square button marked "W" in the bank of buttons with the "ESP" button do? When pressed a light indicating "on" lights.
Help!

Could have lit up a sign saying "please do not press this button again" ( only Douglas Adams fans will properly get this ;) )

If it's the same as the Golf GT I recently had, it's the Winter mode for the DSG. Try pressing it and then accelerating hard. You should find that it will not lot you lay down too much power, in order not to slip in the loose stuff.

Hi
The only other other button sited next to the ESP button on my EOS with DSG, is the soft tyre indicator reset button, could this be the button you are referring to?

Hi Darren, the button under the arm rest has something to do with the alarm system, not sure what though, it tells you about it in the handbook.

It is for disabling the internal movement sensors (if fitted)..... You press it before yu get out and, when you set the alarm, the sensors will be disabled. This allows you to keep a pet in the car and their movement won't set the alarm off!
