Just bought my Eos about a week ago. In the US, there are not a lot of options available as most of them are part of 4 model packages. I bought the model 2nd from the top (the Lux).

Apparently, the only way to get Homelink/Bluetooth is to buy the top model (VR6). I'm wonder if it's possible for a US dealer to add either or both Homelink and Bluetooth with a factory setup? I'm not interested in some slock version of these features.

If not, I can live with answering my cell phone the old fashion way and continue to use my garage door "clicker".

Several of us have added hands free bluetooth in our Eos ourselves - I used the Parrot 3000, a VW Wiring Harness Adapter, and the Audiocom VAG-COM adapter so I could use the Steering Wheel control buttons for the bluetooth. I used the VW factory location used in Europe for the microphone, it is in the lighting panel between the sun visors. The Parrot has its own 10W amplifier and uses the factory speakers for sound and the Parrot has a good DSP echo canceller so it works like a very good speakerphone. The Parrot also has some extra features like speech dialing that I have not used yet.

It took me about 3 hours to self install it myself.

All the parts needed, The Parrot, the VW Wiring Harness Adapter, and the Audiocom adapter are available on-line from US Supplier as a package for about $280 US. There are several posts in the EOS Club regarding how to do it and there is a detailed post on vwvortex.com where someone who did it on their Eos posted detailed how its done with pictures - very helpful.
