Ok! Great. There is some interest in a meet and greet. I'm looking at my October calendar which is filling up fast. Is November too late? And if we were to meet, anyone have any ideas? So far we have Fairfax, Yorktown, Chesapeake, and Chesterfield.....

I'm getting Spring Fever. Some warm weather headed our way for the next 2 days. Hopefully enjoyable enough to put the top down for a while. I'd like to try to get us together this Spring for a meet, photos, food, chat. What do folks think about the weekends of April 18/19 or April 25/26 or May 2/3. This is after tax day, after Easter Weekend and before Mother's Day weekend????? I think with everyone's schedule it would be best to plan the calendar now. Then the issue is where to meet????? I'm open to all suggestions.

Please also see my post above. A friend of mine recommended Smithfield, Virginia as a potential meeting place. Seems there is a very nice place to eat there called Smithfield Station

with beautiful waterfrontage, small shops nearby and for anyone who wanted to stay over on a Saturday night and make a weekend get away of it, there are reasonably priced hotel rooms.

Thoughts on location, dates, etc?

Darren, Smithfield is fine with me, all dates are ok since it's only a 30 min drive from Yorktown. Smithfield is a nice little town with plenty of small shops and don't forget to pick up one of those Virginia hams from Smithfield.

I think we have more options in Williamsburg and could also cruise the parkway. There are a number of stops along the way for photo ops etc, then follow up with a late lunch or dinner in downtown Williamsburg. Smithfield really doesn't have too much going on and I think the group would be bored quickly. Many car groups do this as well. My former 350z group did this as well as a friend's corvette group.

I would need to be a maybe. It's a 3 hour drive each way for me so would take up a major portion of the weekend. Thus, it depends on what else is going on. It's not outside the realm of reason though so I'd try.

....I'm open to any suggestions. I figured we could leave this up and open for discussion as to location and which of those dates would work best for most. Maybe in the next 2-3 weeks we should lock in on a plan and start to get it on people's calendars. Williamsburg is fine with me. Smithfield looked "cute". Either is fine; again, still open to suggestions.
