I got a used Eos at a great price. It came with the Komfort package without the 6 disc player. I want to add a car starter and aftermarket radio. But the dealer said I should not because they diagnose the car thru the radio. Have anyone replace there radio and add a car starter? If so what model did you get and where did you go?

If you search the forums, a Pioneer Avic series as well as Kenwood have been installed by others. I would think the diagnostics port is elsewhere, not at the radio and the cars computer system generates all the info. Because of this system which is called CAN-BUS, IIRC, is also the reason no one has been able to install a remote starter. I had heard of one person who did, but it was not easy and not cheap and not totally reliable.

Zenec are also due to launch a new product which will fit the Eos, and give bluetooth, satnav etc (in fact its over due). Its the NC2010, don't be fooled if you do searches they already have one that fits the NC2000, but the 2010 is upgraded and has better graphics (I am told)
