help me please - one of mine is ruined now, so i need a new one. Can any1 help?
If it's only scraped (as opposed to scrapped!) then it might be possible to get it repaired.

There are alloy wheel repairers who can make a scraped wheel look like new for a fraction of the cost of a new (or even secondhand) one.

My daughter did a good job on 3 of mine - I ended up getting them repainted - expensive too - but cheaper than new ones - not quite the same as the fine etching on the rim is gone now.

Scraped 18" Chicago alloy

Having scraped mine and looked at all the cheap repair kits advertised on e-bay.. don't bother! I got mine repaired courtesy of Wicked Wheels. They will come to your house and take the wheel away. They need it for a week so it just means being careful on the spacesaver! The wheel is sent away to one of the specialists that will polish it and relacquer it. Cost? £104 + VAT which is a lot cheaper than buying a new one. Cannot recommend this company highly enough and would use them again.

Any chance of pictures of before and after or the finish product please?
I would also be interested in this company's services. Living in Devon, we have to negotiate many narrow country (& town) roads & frequently have to mount kerbs in order to create room for passing. This has not done my 18" Chicagos any good at all &, as careful as I have tried to be, I now have 2 of them scuffed.:( As my situation is unlikely to change (I do love Devon & am unlikely to move) can anyone recommend a wheel which will not show the scars so obviously?

I have had my wheels redone a couple of times by Wheels Approved and find them repaired as good as new - www.wheelsapproved.co.uk - ask for Dan. They also fix wheels that have been damaged by pot holes
Hi Deeside,
What was the cost of the repair? I go up to Surrey fairly regularly from Devon so could well be interested.
Kind regards,
John.
