When I questioned my supplying dealer as to why my car was delivered without a warning triangle fitted into the dedicated stowage in the boot/trunk, his response was “Welcome to the VW world” however there is one available to buy in the accessory section of the price list, this surprised me as previous VAG cars I have owned have always had one fitted, I have always thought of VW as big on safety but it seems that penny pinching is now the order of the day, which is rich when you think of the price of an Eos.
Well as I have a run down to Spain planned for later in the year and a triangle is a must have, so I decided to buy one from my local dealer. Not an in stock item, so one is ordered; it arrives the next day but does not fit the stowage because it is much too big! Back to parts, who confirm that it is the correct part as it is listed for the Eos both in their parts catalogue and the accessory brochure.
After some bottom end scratching an alternative part number is found but it is for a New Beetle, good news is it is in stock. We try it; it fits in and the straps work, job done.
