As you all probably have noticed I have had a laundry list of questions for the Dealer for my 20k service.

I have had a suspicious "run" in the center of my windblocker where it folds over in the case for a few months now. It is small and isn't getting any bigger. Maybe from a rock or something... dunno. BUT, when I was hoping for a warranty replacement I found out (and should have known) that accessories and add-ons from the dealer on a new Eos are only covered for 12k or 1 year whichever comes first.

they suggested clear nail polish to seal the run.

Thought I'd give you all a heads up if you have any concern over your accessories on your Eos before it is too late.

That is interesting. I've just been looking through my Eos sales brochure, and in the small print towards the back, it states that any original accessories, purchased and fitted at point of sale by the dealer, are subject to the same three year warranty as the rest of the car. Is this just for Europe I wonder?

I had no idea that the wind blocker that pops up above the windshield was an accessory. Mine came with that and the windscreen that fits in the back seat. Can you get an Eos with out the popup windblocker? If not how can it be an accessory? Guess I have to head to the dictioinary.

The pop up bar on the header rail is a standard fitting. The wind deflector that fits behind the driver is not a standard fittting with the car in the UK, its a £230 optional extra.

Thanks lordy. I don't recall seeing my rear deflector as an option, VW must include them in the price of the car in th U.S.
